Genuine antique Qing Dynasty porcelain shard pendant, 100-300 years old. 44.5 x 34mm. Wrapped in a gold wash over copper bezel with a bail. In terms of quality and authenticity they are a cut above many of the reproduction shard pendants on the market today. These pendants were originally acquired by a collector who purchased them in China in the early 1980s. This shard can be worn on a chain, or a silk ribbon or incorporated into a necklace. In the1980s, the broken pottery fragments were salvaged and reworked into jewelry, boxes, and other art objects.
