Vintage reverse painted hollow glass bead, all hand painted, each side has a different design. A Pancake disk shape 30mm diameter and 17mm thickness. This stunning bead was painstakingly hand painted on the interior many years ago in China. . It has a layer of clear glass over translucent painted red core. This bead has fine detail depicting a Heron in a marsh on one side and lotus flowers on the other. Artisans who can do this type of work have become scarce to extinct in China today and these little works of art are no longer being made. Sold individually.
